State-of-the-art technology
Our tech has functionality that is way beyond conventional fitness trackers or smartwatches. We are able to measure human body movement with incredible detail. This allows building applications that can help to master skills in virtually any movement-related use case. Currently, we focus on sports but have a future interest also in other fields like rehabilitation exercising, where we already have built prototypes.
Our clients
We export 100% of our products and to date have served thousands of clients in 60+ countries. Our users include the top industry experts in the world who have worked with players like Rory McIlroy (former world rank No. 1), Dustin Johnson (winner of 6 world cups), Thorbjorn Olesen (European tour winner), and others. Our baseball product is used by major league teams such as Boston Red Sox.

🤝 Intro call
After your application, we'll set up an open and friendly ~15 min call to talk details about the position and see if there is a mutual interest to go forward. You will be able to ask questions and clarifications about the position or the company.

🕵️ In depth interview
We will go through the details of your previous experience. You will be able to share the details for each position/project you have taken part. This usually takes ~1h. Depending on the position we might give a homework task at the end of the interview.

👩🎤 Cultural fit interview
Congrats on getting this far! You will meet with the founding team and we will openly talk about the goals of the company and how the success of the particular role is defined. We will discuss your career as well as personal goals.

You will start with a 90-day probation period where we will do our best to help you settle in, understand your role in the team, and succeed with the key objectives for your role.
Our culture
We dream big and want to make a dent in the wearable tech industry. To achieve this we believe it is essential that each individual in the team not only improves his/her own core skills but also learns everything that goes into building a successful tech company. Here are a few principles we follow daily:
- Full transparency, everything is shared within the team, we even do monthly updates regarding details of company financials.
- 'Get s**t done and iterate' over perfection, things rarely go as planned 1st try, but with enough tries, success is almost guaranteed.
- Teamwork over individual players, to reach our goals we have to pull the boat in the same direction, we measure the success of each team member based on shared business outcomes only.
- Learning is the most crucial thing, for each member of our team the main reason for working at HackMotion is to learn new stuff.
Our office
Most of our team members work in a remote-office mix, however, we make sure that we have a great & creative place to meet and interact with each other. However, this does not mean that we have a standard boring office. Our office is located in the vary city center in the scenic Kronvalda Park. We have literally one of the greatest views in Riga. We share the building with The Art Academy of Latvia, so there are always creative attractions in the hallway.
Also, we have an indoor golf simulator to always be able to test our products as well as have a little fun.
How we work

1. Start of the week meeting
All team synchronizes and discuss our plans for the week and the key milestones we will try to achieve.

2. Daily standups
As a team, we dedicate 10-15 min each day to meet and discuss any pressing issues and dependencies.

3. Friday demo
Each Friday we gather for a drink and showcase what we have achieved. New product features, marketing activities, and even finances are openly presented to everyone.

During the golfing season, we do regular team golf practices, where we improve our own skills as well as experience our products in the field.
Our journey so far
Company founded
HackMotion was created to improve the experience of learning skill-based activities with a virtual coach. Our early prototypes did full-body motion capture and were tested in extreme environments such as snowboarding and even skydiving in vertical wind tunnels.
First product launch
The first HackMotion product was built and launched in 2018. It was targeted to the golf professional niche - golf coaches and advanced players.
HackMotion adoption among golf pros
HackMotion golf product quickly gains traction and gets widespread adoption among top industry professionals. These include true superstars, such as the coaches of Rory McIlroy (former world rank No. 1) and Dustin Johnson (winner of 6 world cups).
HackMotion Golf Player version launch
Based on learnings gained working with golf professionals the HackMotion Golf Player version was launched and quickly gained momentum. Within the first year, thousands of products were shipped across 5 continents allowing rapid scaling of the business.
Becoming a global sports wearable leader
Our ambition for upcoming years is to continue significant expansion in the golf consumer segment as well as expand to the next niches such as baseball (where we already have launched a product). Our goal is to be the world's No. 1 in virtual coaching wearables.
